TOOLHOLDERS

MARIO PINTO has been developing, designing and manufacturing static and rotating holders, used by customers worldwide. A wide range of high-precision and reliable products, manufactured with advanced machines and technologies, severely tested and certified.

ROTATING AND STATIC HOLDERS FOR CNC TURNING MACHINES

The absolute quality of the components of our toolholders, which are entirely designed, manufactured and assembled in our plants in Torino, is guaranteed by a quality process, involving the best technologies available on the market.

This allows us to offer to customers a complete range of products and solutions, able to meet any specific requirement.

OUR KNOW-HOW:

HOW WE MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

Live tooling with super-compact transmission.

The drive transmission is the “heart” of the Live Tool. Before starting with the production of our toolholders, we analyzed through a number of tests the different solutions available on the market.

We finally decided to design and patent a special and innovative drive system, offering a greater reliability and durability. Some of the products on the market use one or two drive keys between shaft and gear, casuing the weakening of these parts and generating as a consequence low torque transmission, possible vibrations on the machined parts, breakage.

Our angular Live Tools use bevel gears with a helical tooth formshape, ID and OD ground. The bevel gears in our Live Tools have a larger circular pitch compared to those used by our competitors.

Internal components are made of special steel, case-hardened and ground buy our specialists.

After a number of careful tests, we chose for our Live Tools special steel, high-precision bearings. The two bearings placed on the shaft ends (near the collet where the cut tool is placed) support the entire surface assuring to our holders highest rigidity and long durability.

The sealing on the external side of the pair, allows exchange of heat and coolant, supporting the heat dispersion and the balanced distribution of the grease.

Our Live Tools are fully “sealed” by a “labyrinth” system, placed on the internal side of the cover. Two seals are placed between the tool body and the rotating shaft.

Their task is preventing the entry of dirt chips and fluid.

Mario Pinto is UNI EN ISO 9001 certified. Each single component of the live tool is provided with a part number which allows tracing every step of the manufacturing process, for a total quality certification. Holders are tested on specific testing stations, where all performances related to noise, vibrations and over-heating are verified.

A geometrical and operational test is carried out before issuing a test report, certifying all the controls which have been carried out, assuring the maximum transparency in all machining operations. Our toolholders are delivered complete with operating wrenches, assembly and maintenance accessories.

Our angle tool holders are equipped with bevel gears with ground elocoid toothing on the inside, on the outside and on the stop (operation performed only by the best manufacturers).

The bevel gears used in our tool holders feature modules that are larger than the standard on the market. The hardening of the teeth on the gears has a depth of 0.6/0.8 mm. All internal components are made of special steel cemented, hardened and grinded in our establishments.

THE MARIO PINTO WAY:

MANUFACTURING PHILOSOPHY & MODULAR CONCEPT

MARIO PINTO/SMW-Autoblok works with a very specific modular concept, applied either to internal and to external components. This is the way we chose to provide our customers with top quality, superior rigidity compared to the market standards, wide ranges, quick delivery service and competitive prices.
A great attention is paid as well to shape and design of our products, to highlight their performances excluding at the same time vibrations and structural defects.

Our manufacturing philosohy is based on an entirely internal value chain, which is including design, manufacturing, assembly and sales of our solutions.
